  • The same project, estimated by two different engineers, produces two different numbers — with no structured way to understand the difference.

From project parameters to reviewable BOQ

Documents are optional. Without uploads, Green Bid runs from the parameters you enter manually — AI extraction is not involved in quantity generation at any stage.

    Create Project

    Name, project type (thermal or solar BOP), capacity in MW, and location. One form, one save.

    Upload Documents

    Tender specifications, NIT, and drawings — PDF, XLSX, or DOCX. Optional: estimation runs without them.

    Extract Parameters

    Where documents are uploaded, AI reads them to extract engineering parameters: floor area, RCC volumes, equipment specifications.

    Generate BOQ

    The rule engine applies calibrated engineering rules and returns a confidence-scored, INR-priced bill of quantities.

    Review and Edit

    Inline quantity edits. Low-confidence items are flagged so review effort goes where engineering judgement matters most.

    Approve

    Four-stage cycle: Draft → Submit → Pending Approval → Approved. Approved BOQs feed the confidence calibration system.

Engineering Experience Before Automation

Engineering quantities are produced by deterministic engineering rules built on engineering experience. Document parameter extraction supports the workflow, but quantity generation always remains rule-based.

Every quantity includes the engineering rule, project parameter and benchmark used to produce the result, making every BOQ reviewable and explainable.

Every line item carries a High, Medium or Low confidence score, helping engineering teams identify where additional review is required before submission.

Questions engineering teams usually ask

Does Green Bid replace an estimator?

No. Green Bid replaces the blank spreadsheet an estimator starts with. The rule engine produces a structured, traceable starting point — with confidence ratings that tell the estimator exactly where review effort should go. Engineering judgement about scope, local conditions, specification interpretation, and bid strategy remains entirely with the team.

Are quantities generated by AI?

No. Quantities are generated by a deterministic YAML rule engine. AI is used only for extracting engineering parameters from uploaded documents — and document upload is optional. If you enter parameters manually, AI is not involved at any stage.

How accurate are the estimates?

Accuracy depends on two things: the quality of the input parameters, and how closely your project matches the calibration benchmark. The confidence score on each line item is the accuracy signal — not a single percentage for the whole BOQ. Low-confidence items should be reviewed before submission.

What project types does Green Bid support today?

Thermal power BOP (Civil & Structural and Electrical & Instrumentation) and Solar BOP (Civil & Structural). Mechanical packages — piping, HVAC, fire protection — are in Phase 2. If your project type is not covered, let us know — the rule engine is extensible.

Is the rate schedule fixed?

Phase 0–1 ships with a single INR rate schedule calibrated to the Satpura 800 MW thermal BOP benchmark. Per-tenant rate schedule overrides are a Phase 2 feature. Until then, quantities can be adjusted in the BOQ editor before export.

What does a pilot engagement involve?

A pilot begins with understanding your project, available engineering inputs and bid objectives. We agree on a pilot scope, run an estimation, support your engineering review, and discuss findings and next steps. No pricing is agreed or committed during the pilot.
